Beginning in 2008, the American Heart Association (AHA) will launch its first new journals in nearly three decades. Extensions of Circulation, the new Circulation portfolio of journals will deliver tightly focused information on areas at the cutting edge of cardiology, as well as clinical information designed to help practitioners in their daily practice.

The new Circulation portfolio of journals will have individual editorial boards. Each journal will also have its own Web site, where readers can browse the current issue, read publish-ahead-of-print articles, and search across all content for that journal or all AHA journals.

Published bi-monthly, the new Circulation portfolio of journals:

  • Are Free to AHA Premium Professional members
  • Include both print and online delivery
  • Will publish-ahead-of-print original research articles upon acceptance

Look for the first of the new Circulation portfolio of journals in Spring 2008.

“The new subspecialty journals reflect the American Heart Association’s dedication to meeting the growing need for tightly focused information on areas at the cutting edge of cardiology, while continuing to meet the needs of practitioners in the field of cardiovascular medicine.”
–Dr. David Gutterman, Chair, AHA Scientific Publishing Committee

“Our hope is that the new Circulation subspecialty journals will provide a focal point for members of these subspecialties to come together and form professional communities.”
–Joseph Loscalzo, MD, PhD, Editor in Chief
